Gemini Full Moon of Uninjured Spiriting in Gemini with Smooth Cage Fungus
Full Moon Uninjured Spiriting 19°51' Gemini
Fungus: Smooth Cage Fungus or Ileolictyon gracile
For many, the Full Moon is on the night of December 11 or, as many are excited about, the Full Moon is on 12/12 and exact at 12:12 AM EST.
Fungus: Smooth Cage Fungus or Ileolictyon gracile
MycoAstrological Correspondences: Saturn, Capricorn, honor, integrity, responsibility, burdens, manifestation, preservation, form, taking ownership of the creative impulse, hollowness, sterility, paranoia, victimhood, reactivity, celebration of creativity, connection to the uninjured spirit
During the rest of 2019, we access our uninjured spirit through releasing the preservation of pain and victimization. There is huge opportunity to restructure.
Ileolictyon gracile is one of Australia's most common Stinkhorns, which are mushrooms that somewhere at some point have an odorous slime and that all fruit from an "egg" shape. So, initially, the fruiting body of this Smooth Cage Fungus resembles an egg, which ruptures, and out bursts the polygonal arms of this incredible fungal structure. This cage-like bubble actually detaches itself from its base, and many speculate if this mushroom actually rolls about like a tumbleweed in the wind, releasing spores in the tropical forests. This mushroom grows alone and is saprophytic, living off of dead and decomposing matter.
Ileolictyon gracile, or the Smooth Cage Fungus, symbolizes the structures of pain, blame, and protection that Saturn maintains. What are these white polygonal arms enveloping? It looks like hot air to me... Negative Saturnian qualities, when we try to take ownership of the creative process, or when we maintain our structures of pain, lead to a sense of hollowness, sterility, or paranoia.
How are you releasing the preservation of your own pain? Venus is Sandwiched in between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Jupiter in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries. Jupiter just entered Capricorn on December 2, and Saturn rules Capricorn, so Slow Structured Saturn is receiving all of Jupiter's expansion for 2020. Saturn is the Lord of Form and during this last Full Moon of 2019, Saturn is the host with the most.
Last Full Moon of 2019 highlights axis of wisdom
Sun and Moon together are celebrating adaptability, curiosity, and ability to stay connected to the present moment, and illuminating our path of passion and the distance that is possible for the upcoming year.
Moon is generally opposite the plump rump energy happening in Sagittarius and Capricorn. Through the light of the Full Moon reflecting back to the opposite side of the chart, where the Sun is placed, tension pulls on our optimistic spark and enduring achievements. There's a lot of Saturn and Jupiter hosting the current planetary energy, and with Jupiter just moving into Capricorn on December 2, Saturn is the host for Jupiter, now too! Who Saturn is and what Saturn does is further explored after the Full Moon Aspects.
The axis of Gemini Sagittarius is about wisdom and the intake and dissemination of it. This Full Moon balances the near and far, small details and big visions. There is a lot of celestial energy that really wants to be let out of each of us right now. This Full Moon releases the need to guide and control processes. This Moon releases ambiguous communication. This Moon releases the inability to stay connected to the present moment with quick criticism and emotional reactivity. If you have personal planets and placements in the Mutable signs of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, these themes are heightened for you.
Moon Square Neptune
Neptune can inspire, dissolve, and confuse. Moon reacts, feels, and symbolizes the unconsciousness, habitual response, and daily purpose. Perceptions can be easily altered and dreams and inner worlds are especially very rich and sensitive. There is a low tolerance and high sensitivity for anything that alters your consciousness, like caffeine, sleep, meditation, or anger. There may be tension to delude your inner world through trying to escape reality with addictive substances or behaviors.
Mars in Scorpio Trine Neptune
Mars, who is halfway (15°) through Scorpio, the sign of emotional transformation, speaks of desire, willpower, and how we take action. Energy is tender and spiritually inclined. This is not a high energy transit, and Neptune is inspiring our sensuality and creativity to be expressed through creative and meditative outlets.
Venus sandwiched between Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn
Venus makes exact conjunctions with Saturn early Wednesday morning and with Pluto in the late morning of Friday, all in Capricorn. During Wednesday night, during the precise moment of the Full Moon, Venus will be sandwiched between Saturn and Pluto. We might not be feeling the best, or the most positive or on top of things right now, and that's totally okay.
Venus symbolizes our values, attraction, how we assign wealth, and where we find pleasure. Venus' magnetism probably feels a little trapped right now between the contraction and intensity of Saturn and Pluto. Being a benefic planet, Venus is thought of as shining goodness and positivity wherever they go, and they are less than 2 degrees away from Saturn and Pluto for the rest of the week.
Saturn's not really considered a benefic planet as Saturn's functions are typically rejection, exclusion, control, or contraction. Saturn is the Lord of Form. Saturn has to do with the structures that are in place, and usually wants to take ownership of the creative impulse. Feelings of Negative Saturn can develop hollowness, sterility, paranoia, and an "oh well" attitude. Oh, and did I mention that Saturn is the host planet for the huge smorgasbord of planetary energy happening in Capricorn?
Jupiter, fresh in Capricorn, Squares Chiron in Aries for the rest of 2019: Saturn, Lord of Form, releases pain and blame
Jupiter wants to absorb what it touches, expand, and search for meaning, truth, and opportunity. Jupiter in Capricorn is Square Chiron in Aries until December 30. Chiron, the centaur, or human-beast, reveals the pain that hides underneath. Jupiter's search for meaning and honorable truth is challenged by the wounds of our identity, raw and unfiltered energy, independence, use of force, anger, aggression, and fear. Lord of Form, Saturn has the opportunity to release what it has maintained for years if not lifetimes.
Capricorn is old earth, old form, and old structures. Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, shows us where we meet what is or is not our responsibility. Saturn is the planet that preserves what is already there and what has already been created. Saturn tends to preserve the pain that already exists for the sake of protection and ownership. Capricornian form is easily injured, yet a true awareness of spirit, deep inside, cannot be injured. The most honest Capricornian sense of integrity and honor is found in the inner peace of our spirit. How are you releasing your sense of victimhood? We have huge opportunity to restructure. How are you regularly accessing your uninjured spirit?
Eckhart Tolle's most recent video, uploaded on December 10, when the Moon went into Gemini and was opposite Mercury, deeply explores the nature of forgiveness.
Remember that during the last New Moon, when the seeds of this cycle were initiated and planted, Moon made a conjunction with Pallas Athena, asteroid of wit and weapons, birthing the creative energy of our minds, and the capacity to translate into action what one knows to be true. Pallas Athena was the goddess clad in armor, presiding over military strategy, and was said to have been born as a fully grown adult out of Jupiter's (Zeus') noggin. How can you enact new strategies that don't wage war with yourself?
Chiron stations Direct in 1° Aries on Friday, December 13
Since July 9, Chiron turned inward to retrace how you have victimized yourself injured your identity. Have you been responsible for causing your own pain, perhaps by projecting pain onto others? How has your identity and personality been influenced by your identification with being a victim? Chiron now prepares to move forward to be externally supported to enact changes toward healing.
Mercury entered Sagittarius December 9
We learn about a wide range of topics, explore our options, and our faith in higher power increases. We might not be very precise, but our mental landscape searches for spiritual stretching and meaning.
Venus enters Aquarius on December 20
Venus will slide through the rest of congested Capricorn to enter the quiet stillness of Aquarius. The only other main planetary body currently there is the Part of Fortune, symbolizing innate abilities and talents. Our values and magnetism will be looking toward how we will hatch our own liberating dreams. Faithful Aquarius gives spiritual food to the world, and is also certainly on their own terms.
Winter Solstice on December 21
