Aries New Moon of Color Regenerating with Aleuria aurantia

We are regenerating color.
Fungus: Aleuria aurantia or Orange Peel Fungus

Sweet peas! Happiest Aries New Moon. We are beginning a new cycle of the zodiac wheel, Moon is conjunct Chiron, Saturn just moved into Aquarius on Saturday, March 21st, and we are living in a very powerful time of the cosmos!

This New Moon of Color Regenerating highlights how we are called to self-regenerate during this time. We are called into the quality, not quantity, of time. We are called into slowness and gentleness as we open into our emotions and wellbeing each day.

I value astrology because it offers us wisdom in how to respond to and participate in our environment.

Take care of your physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual bodies. Know what input you can receive and when you need output. Ask yourself if you want to read this now, as with any media consumption. Maybe you want to table this for later. I'll still love you! The cool thing is that you're always in tune with the cosmos, no matter what.

Astrology is a medicine
My hope is that astrology for you can be as illuminating, grounding, nourishing, and healing as it's been for me. Astrology uncovers a depth of our present moment. Astrologers have always looked toward the sky, made some kind of meaning out of their observations, and told a story with it. The cosmos are a stage of aliveness, with drama, tension, or harmony constantly unfolding.

Many of us are used to participating with time as a quantity. As something that is measured linearly and chronologically with clocks and other devices. Astrology is another type of clock or tool that invites us to look into the quality of our time.

What kind of time is it at this moment?

This time is scary, uncertain, transformative, and holds immense opportunity. It's easy to live in the past or the present, anxious and thinking about what could happen.

Fear reflects the mental activity of being somewhere besides the present moment.

We are adapting. Aries shows us we are in a constant process of becoming.

This is the New Moon chart exact on Tuesday, March 24th at 3:28 am MST.

This New Moon will likely be early on Tuesday morning depending on where you live. You might notice that the chart is set for Salt Lake City, UT, which just so happens to be the current placement of your neighborhood astrologer! I live here, so this is where my perspective writes from. All of the aspects and transits are 100% the same for you wherever you are on the planet, but you might have a different ascendant point and the New Moon might be in a different time zone.

Aleuria aurantia: Orange Peel Fungus
Aleuria aurantia is our fungal companion for this Aries New Moon. Look at this incredible organism! Bright orange, stiff-jelly-texture, little wavy cups.

This fungus grows on bare or disturbed ground or on deadwood. This mushroom was traditionally labeled saprophytic (decomposer), but is possibly mycorrhizal, and even more likely engages in both decay and connective growth!

Aries asks "Who am I?", "Where am I?"
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac Wheel. We are born. We are sustained by the cosmic fire of creation. As the first of 3 fire signs, Aries' intuition, consciousness, primal energy, and spirit, is initiating. Fire signs represent the inner awareness of their individuality, their unique personality. Fire is very aware and concerned with the purpose of their life.

Who are you? Where are you? What is your purpose, just for today?
In this current earth climate, many of our days, relationships, finances, resources, and health (psychological, emotional, physical) might be more stressed and tense than usual.

Just for today, you are loved, you are safe, and you are free. Maybe just for this hour, or this breath.

Is your fire conscious? Or is your fire unexamined or rejected? What do you do with your energy, external & internal? Do you waste your resources and burn out? Fire reminds us to wisely build, contain, and utilize the gifts you've been given.

Sun in Aries illuminates a certain house in your own Natal Chart. This is also the same place of our New Moon on March 24th.

Aries New Moon conjunct Chiron, Sextile Hygeia in Gemini, Square the Nodes

Tuesday, March 24th at  3:28 am MST
New Moons are a time for initiation. For openings. Beginnings. We are on the precipice of a new idea. This New Moon is conjunct Chiron, so this is about the initiation of releasing what is caught up and trapped in compulsiveness, autonomy, and materiality.

Where is your new direction and momentum?

Chiron is eternally killed by the wounds of his father and also eternally reborn. We're talking "archetypal father" -- so, the "idea" of his father, and what "father" can mean. Chiron couldn't heal his own wounds and neither could anyone else. Deep wounding is likely to surface, especially in regards to autonomy, assertiveness, and interpersonal relationships.

This doesn't mean you have to be your regular self or that you will not be traumatized by all we are being exposed to. Finding ways to do a few things in your day that don't abandon your emotions is huge.

How can you see your conflict as an opportunity for growth?

Visible signs of growth can be damn hard, so how can you take this conflict and just sit with it? Sit in it and in your feelings? Go on a walk with your feelings, outside in an open space or in your mind? Often, it takes time, discipline, and effort to "grow", and sometimes what we need is to just sit with our feelings and open them up.

In Chiron's path of orbit, currently Aries, they are traveling forward, thrusted towards Sun (as opposed to getting farther from Sun). In your own chart, Chiron can show us where you carry wounds that have a history longer than your lifetime.

Where we are wounded is actually where many of us have great resources and capacity for healing.

This New Moon is also Sextile Hygeia in Gemini, an asteroid who represents our state of health, cleanliness, hygiene, afflictions, and what we can learn from them. Our wisdom comes from our communication and our immediate environment. Those we don't necessarily choose who are in our close surroundings like neighbors and siblings. Gemini is quick, dynamic, and often frantic and anxious. Gemini's naive wish is to have all the answers.

This New Moon initiation is directly linked with our state of health. Fire and air equals spreading heat.

How can you set intentions of being conscious with your pace? How can you not fear slowness, but nurture it? Feed it like a little baby.

How can you cooperate with the health of your immediate environment? We're not talking large distances or global ideas.

Saturn --> Aquarius on the night of March 21st
This is Saturn's first Aquarian breath since 1991 - 1994. The first "www." url was used in 1991, and this Saturn in Aquarius period also coincided with the foundational advancements of the internet. Saturn's entrance on March 21st, 2020 is actually a preliminary pop in, as, due to retrograde motion, Saturn will trace backwards and re-enter Capricorn for some last preparation and then officially enter Aquarius on the night of December 16th, 2020.

Saturn --> Aquarius 3/21/2020
Saturn station Rx 5/11 at 1°57' Aquarius
Saturn station Direct 9/29 at 25°20 Capricorn
Saturn --> Aquarius 12/16/2020

Congratulations, Saturn! You've made it all the way through the mountains of Capricorn. We celebrate.

We have seen what doesn't hold weight. We've seen the calcification of narrow ambition and achievement. We know that success truly shows up as joy.

We know the importance of integrity, traditional wisdom, and disciplined manifestation. We have a strong sense of the past and of the future.

In your ideal world, what is the meaning of collaboration?

Who are you when you collaborate?

Who are you when you isolate?

Later in 2020, Saturn and Jupiter meet on December 19th. As we head into that quality of time, we listen to the dark depths of our interconnectedness. How do we seek truth and meaning in our synergy? What does it mean to work together from our heart?

Mars --> Aquarius on Monday 3/30
We become less concerned with personal motives. We're talking team-player. Mars in Aquarius also sees erratic energy levels. Notice when you need a break. You might feel inadequate at times. It doesn't matter how much you're doing. It doesn't matter how well you're doing it. What matters is that the awake people stay awake.

There will be some stumbling blocks as we figure out how to move past resistance to change, feelings of isolation, and rigidity. Once we realize our own self-acceptance, we can create and act in ways that are aligned with our ideal models of authority, social responsibility, community, and creativity.

Mercury leaves shadow at 13°60' Pisces on Monday 3/30
Cool! We've swam out of Mercury's first of three retrogrades of the year. No more processing of our Mercury Retrograde. We have integrated our review, refinement, and reconfiguring. If we used these retrogrades to our full advantage, we are now fully supported by the cosmos to act in ways that reflect our reorienting, revising, and refinement. Something about the magic unfolding right in front of you. How can your new ideas about sacrifice, intuition, and emotions better fuel the spiritual re-revolution?

First Quarter Moon in Cancer on Wednesday 4/1
Where are you taking direct action to manage our first "crisis" of this moon cycle? This is a good check-in to release any built up energy. Have you accepted responsibility for the concepts and intentions you've initiated? What are you planning, strategizing, and molding? What challenges have you confronted, or do you need to confront? Are you being flexible? Emotionally direct?

Jupiter conjunct Pluto at 24°53' Capricorn on Saturday 4/4
This is another big astrological event! The last Jupiter Pluto conjunction was in December of 2007 in Sagittarius. This is our first Pluto Capricorn conjunction of 2020, with two more on June 20th and November 12th, due to Rx motion.

Where do you strive for significance? The results of this transit depend on your goals.

Intense effort and drive wants to go somewhere. Where are you pouring your energy? Self-confidence might become deflated as we are adapting to the flows of material energy.

If you invest in self-absorbed power, Pluto will undermine your purpose and force you to look at your need for transformation at some point down the road. Selfishness, greed, power hunger, jealousy, and revenge do have the possibility to roam... we can see some trouble with large scale governments and authorities.

Venus -> Gemini on Friday 4/3
We create conditions for "physical contact" in ways that are verbal, communicative, mental, or intellectual. We can become judgmental when we look at situations based on past experience. We value curiosity, exchanging information, and elevating the voices of experts.

Sending you health & wealth! Happy Aries Germination! xo
