Full Moon of Percolating Capacity in Libra with Dyer's Polypore and Harefoot Inkcap
Welcome to the Full Moon of Percolating Capacity in 29°07' Libra on April 19, 2019 at 04:12 (PST), Earth's 10th Full Moon of this lunar year. The Sun and the Moon are both in the same final degree of their respective signs; Sun in 29°07' Aries and Moon in 29°07' Libra. With two full Libra Moons in a row, we are digging further into exploring what we relate with and how we relate to them. However, this time, the illuminations of the full Moon will be more revelatory and exhilarating with Uranus' electric charge of innovation and push toward change as the Moon is opposite Uranus and as the Sun reaches conjunct with Uranus in the following week.
The tail end of Aries season has left for us a small golden gift lying directly in our path on the forest floor. Taurus season begins on April 20th, and we can feel that in our near future we will go into growing. We can plunge into nurturing our ideas based on the realizations and discernment that we are unearthing now. It is as if after traversing back and forth between relating, by bringing into relationship, our motion has invigorated something that had remained dusty or hidden underneath the leaf litter for too long. We stand on the precipice of manifesting something rich and abundant if we follow this golden gift that the Harefoot Inkcap has presented, and we persevere further into the forest. As with the Dyer's Polypore and its use for dying materials, let yourself consider where you need to saturate your colors or let them subside.
This Aries season has brought poignant themes of the Aries/Libra axis, highlighting the interplay between independence and compromise, between relatedness with the self and relatedness with the other. We are more tuned into our connectivity with others, with our families, neighbors, careers, goals, bodies, and with the universe, even if that process has been confusing or grueling. During the Libra Moon we are highly sensitive to other people and their emotions. With efforts to give rather than to receive, our connections will be allowed to blossom. Libra is ruled by Venus who prefers to attract love rather than to pursue it. Understanding the weight that we give to each of our connections is important for growth. Libra reveals that to be together is to be at home together.
This Full Moon opposite Uranus is coloring our illumination with tinges of revolution, innovation, and urges to seek freedom and expression. Uranus is associated with enlightenment, progressiveness, novelty, revolution, freedom, innovation, and invention. Uranus brings ingenuity to our revelations about how we relate or empathize with what is in our life. Uranus is rebellious and can negatively manifest in irresponsibility. There is a strong urge to break free from routines and and impulsive energy (especially with Mercury and Venus going into Aries) and to try something new and exhilarating or to go further into something than you've been before.
Feelings of disruption may shape, especially if you're no longer feeling fulfilled with what you're doing with your connections. Hone in on what is inspiring you to make bold shifts. Uranus and Libra are showing us a golden ticket to learn how to embolden our connectivity with what we truly desire. When Uranus energies are not developed they can become reactive, but when we can tune into its energies they can be highly intuitive. The next month will be wonderful time to grow into what we're envisioning, especially with lots of Taurus earth energy coming up.
While Libra is diplomatic and fair-minded, remember the flaming candle burning inside the Aries New Moon that was sandwiched in between. We have experienced teachings of the connectivity to the self. Aries has respect for the self as Libra has respect for the other.

The Sun kisses goodbye to fiery Aries season and moves into earth sign Taurus on April 20th, while also conjunct with Uranus. Since Uranus is in Taurus, our revelations might have to do with our resources, self-confidence, how we sustain ourselves, and our sensuality. Slow and steady Taurus is energy around "havingness" -- do we have what we need to build? If so, the bull can joyfully graze the flowers and watch the sun shine over its pastures.
Mercury, the planet of communication, moves into Aries on April 17th until May 7th. The mind is going to be infused with a flame for the next couple of weeks. The ways we link spirit and matter will be spontaneous, direct, and fresh. Venus also moves into Aries on April 21st until May 15th. The way we feel comfortable and harmonize our relationships will want to be expressed fully and unswerving during this time.
Pluto stations retrograde on April 25th at 23 Capricorn to October 2, 2019. Saturn turns retrograde on April 30th at 20 Capricorn to September 18, 2019. With Pluto and Saturn retrograde in Capricorn, the 20-23 degree range in each person's chart is being activated differently. During Pluto retrograde we go inwards into the elements that have not been integrated into the collective consciousness. Saturn retrograde ventures into the contractive nature of energy and will definitely give us room for introspection and concentration to work out karmas, inhibitions, restrictions, or anxieties.
1) Dyer's Polypore (Phaeolus schweinitzii): connectivity, flexibility, depth, compromise, trust, empathy, occupation, family
MycoAstrological Correspondences: Planet: Venus; Secondary Planet: Mars; Day: Friday; Main Organ: Kidney; 2nd Organ: Bladder; System: Genitourinary; Tissue: Mucous; Action: Warm/Dry
We are understanding the weight to put forth in our connections, sometimes adding more focus in one place or letting loose our grasp in other places. We can think of this like a saturating of color -- where do we want to color our lives more vibrantly? The cosmic and changeable color of the Dyer's Polypore seeps into a dyer's chosen material. Often wool, sometimes cotton, socks, or perhaps something new and Uranus-y like underwear.
The Dyer's Polypore fruiting bodies persist from one year to the next and can be found by themselves or in groups on the ground at or near the base of dead and living conifers or occasionally on stumps and exposed roots. They are typically growing in rosette patterns with one to several caps arising from a short stalk. Mature specimen have a rusty-brown cap with yellow-green pores and young specimen are more colorful, maybe with more orange or red caps, and plump. They are often engulfing needles, twigs, or other plant matter as they grow around what is already there.
Dye can impart rich yellows, golds, browns, and greens depending on the dying process and mordents used (like iron and alum).
A successful dyer is able to pull the dyes just enough with the chosen material so that the color is saturated and not too weak or too strong. Each dyer has their desired affect and each sock, shirt, bedspread, or hat is different. Where do you need to change your weights? Libra is squaring up and balancing its scales.
With Uranus in Taurus opposite the Moon, we are feeling the embodiment of revelations. Our bodies and nervous systems may feel overwhelmed and tense. Remember the importance of slowness and gentleness. How can you better connect with your colors and the colors of the universe?
2) Harefoot Inkcaps (Coprinopsis lagopus): illumination, wisdom, luck, innovation, intuition
MycoAstrological Correspondences: Planet: Moon; Secondary Planet: Uranus; Day: Monday; Main Organ: Brain; 2nd Organ: Stomach; System: Nervous; Tissue: Marrow; Action: Cold/Moist
We are gazing into the abundance of the future. Uranus can send acute intuition if embodied mindfully and not audaciously. You can feel something coming. The luscious forest is showing us a shiny blue marble on the forest floor -- keep following it, talking to it, observing it, being present to it every single day, and you will attract what you need.
We've found a gift, but do not deactivate! In the wise words of a Libra friend, "I have not found you, I am finding you".

Harefoot Inkcap or Coprinopsis lagopus and a shiny blue forest treasure. |
Harefoot Inkcap is a small treasure we have found during our process of traversing the trails, maybe scouring for Oysters or Morels. We see the ways of its short-lived and tiny wisdom and are ready to follow its hare-hopping further into the forest. This fungus is delicate and it's fruiting bodies only last for a few hours or days before returning to a black ink of spores, a process called deliquescence.
We've found a gift, but do not deactivate! In the wise words of a Libra friend, "I have not found you, I am finding you".
